About

Hi, I’m Bri,

I grew up in a small town in southern California and now reside in Los Angeles. I am a nurse by trade. I love a good book, a warm cup of black coffee, and country music on the radio. I’m an introvert, an avid reader, and a staunch supporter of the Oxford comma. My preferred Bible translation is NASB (ESV is a close second).

Above all, however, I am a follower of Christ. I attend a small (ish) church and serve in the toddler class on Sundays, as well as youth group during the week. The name of this blog says it all; these words are meant for my Christian sisters. I strive to handle the Word of God with care and provide insight and application of the Scriptures. His Word is living and breathing. It is true. It has practical and eternal significance.

I started writing in May 2019 as a way to organize my thoughts & articulate my views on theological topics. I was raised in a Christian home and went to a Christian school. I even have a minor in Biblical Studies. But I was finding that although I had a good personal understanding of reformed Christian theology, I often struggled to find the words to convey these truths to others. I also wanted to further examine my worldview to ensure that I was applying biblical truths to all areas of life, so I expanded my writing to include anything that interested me. No matter the topic, it is my goal to approach all things from a biblical worldview.

Paul wrote many letters to churches in the first century; several of which are part of the canon of scripture. Letters are personal. I write each post on this site in the format of a letter: to my sisters, to the youth group girls I mentor, to myself, and all for His glory.
